OVERCOME FEAR
A Guided Meditation & Prayer For Fear
Meditation & Prayer For Fear
Wherever you are, take a moment to get comfortable.
Once you’re relaxed, close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
Begin slowing down by taking deep breaths in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Let’s take a moment to become aware of God’s presence. Think about who He is as the creator and sustainer of life. Think about the access we have to the Holy Spirit who dwells among us and within us.
Focus and give thanks for the things you’re grateful for today.
Are you wrestling with something you fear today? Take this time to tell God how you’re feeling and be honest with Him. God can handle it.
Take a deep breath.
As you take a deep breath in through your nose I want you to focus on that fear. Release that fear to the Holy Spirit and then exhale through your mouth. Let the Holy Spirit comfort you.
Let’s read Isaiah 41:10 together: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Let’s all pray together: Father, we thank you that you are a good father. We believe that you know what’s best for us. I hate feeling afraid. I don’t like feeling out of control. But I know that you hold all things in your hand. And I know that you will work out all things for the good of those who love you. Please calm my fearful heart. Please bring rest to my tired soul. Help me to trust in you and in your plan so that I won’t be afraid when things don’t go my way. I believe you’ll help me and I’m trusting in you to help me. Right here. I ask these things in the name of Jesus the Messiah. Amen.
